Oleg had to take a year off from teaching at Live Music Academy due to his busy schedule. But this fall we are exited to have him back on our team teaching guitar. When it comes to teaching worship style, acoustic rock or pop, Oleg is the best i have seen. Students from kids to adults love his enthusiasm, passion and ability to develop the talents. There two more spots open in his schedule. if you like to sing up for guitar lessons. Here is his bio... Hello, my name is Oleg Cheb and I am a Pop/Acoustic Rock artist from Kent, Washington. I got my first start playing the guitar when I was 15 years old. My dad taught me a classic song with three chords and from that point on I never put the guitar down. I soon realized that I had something special with an ability to blend intriguing lyrics with audience captivating music. My influences are artists such as John Mayer, Bob Dylan, Coldplay, & Norah Jones, Jesus Culture, Mercy Me, to name a few. Creating music has come so natural to me because it is the only thing that clicks instinctively. I believe music can speak right into people’s lives and change the heart. I thank God for the talent that he gifted me and I love using it to teach others and bless others with it. I recently finished my first album titled “My Everything” that has a blend of acoustic and electric guitar. You can check out my material on the iTunes site or on my personal site. Nate Baker has a great feel for music and a professional guitarist. He has been teaching for over 7 years. Nate can play and teach different styles like blues, jazz, rock and he also plays a mandolin. We are exited to have Nate on our team at Live Music Academy. Nate Baker began playing bass guitar at age 12 but switched to guitar soon thereafter and never looked back. First musical interests included rock and blues, but quickly grew to include metal, jazz, and bluegrass. He was awarded the Louis Armstrong award in high school went on to formerly study music at college. He graduated from Northern Illinois with a Bachelor's Degree in Music Performance with an emphasis in Jazz Studies. There he studied with guitar virtuoso Fareed Haque as well as trumpeter Art Davis and bassist Kelly Sill. After school, he moved to Chicago and has been playing and teaching ever since. He has toured the Midwest and East Coast with Mark Rose, formerly of the rock band Spitalfield, and played around the Chicagoland area the Fumee Gypsy Project as well as various pop, jazz, and bluegrass groups. He was a finalist in the Union League's Jazz Improvisation Competition in 2012 and 2013, and was the People's Choice Award winner in 2013. He now plays in the Puget Sound area with bluegrass duo Daniels and Baker in which he plays mandolin and guitar.
